Sunday Supper
Volunteer duties include: Food shopping, setup, food preparation, food service, and clean up. Each volunteer serves one to two hours, depending on the assigned job, and all volunteers must be over 12 years old.
Family Promise
Family Promise provides housing for families that are at risk of becoming homeless. Four times a year Aldersgate provides a week of shelter and meals for families in the Family Promise of Orange County program as they work towards their own stability and self-reliance. Through Family Promise AUMC is also supporting the House of Ruth, which will provide transitional housing and services for the Homeless. It is currently scheduled to open in 2022 and will be located in Tustin.
Tustin Community Foundation
Aldersgate partners in a variety of ways with the Tustin Community Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to work with donors and other partners to enhance the quality of life throughout greater Tustin. The Foundation strives to understand local needs and seek creative solutions to meet those needs by bringing people and organizations together to address local issues and opportunities.
Sabil
A non-profit community development organization, Sabil is aimed at providing services to refugees, the underprivileged, and homeless members of society. AUMC volunteers can help in the food pantry, office, thrift shop or with tutoring.
Aldersgate Abolitionists
Aldersgate Abolitionists provides awareness and education about Human Slavery and Trafficking and partners with local organizations who support survivors.
Environmental Ministries
Environmental Ministries explores ways of being good stewards of God’s earth and provides resources and education to help people connect to and care for creation.
